Front Page Pets

I know that there are a lot of pet lovers out there. Most of you just like pets. I am talking to the pet lovers like me. We love our pets as if they were human. You know who you are! My dog is a Vizsla, a Hungarian pointer. She is the most loving dog I have ever had. I grew up always having a dog. Don’t get me wrong I loved all of them, but Amber shows so much affection. She puts her head around your neck as if she were hugging you. She is so spoiled that sometimes I think she thinks she’s human. She has a large cushy bed she sleeps on, when she is not trying to get in our bed with us. She loves to be around people and constantly follows us around.

She is a bird dog so she loves to hunt for things outside and inside for that matter. She will hide one of her toys under a piece of furniture and then bark at it until you retrieve it for her. I think she is just trying to get our attention most days. My dog loves to play. She is calm all day long when she is home with my husband, but when I get home from work, she goes crazy. I say she is just excited to see me, but my husband says that she thinks I am her play toy. She has a basket full of play toys such as balls, bones & sweaky toys. Everyday when I come home she runs to go get one of the toys. We play for a while until I get bored. Dogs don’t ever seem to get bored of playing.

We built a fence in our backyard just for her. It is a large back yard which is nice considering Vizsla’s need a lot of room to run. Speaking of running, she could be a greyhound she runs so fast. I take her on walks most days and we take her to the park every once in a while. I always walk her on a leash which I think is the best way to have your pet in public. I like the thicker collars and leashes for big dogs. I seem to buy her a collar every couple of months. They need new things too!!! The thing I love about pets the most is that they love unconditionally. Animals don’t “have” to please you, they just “love” to please you.
