Dogs Can Be Hero’s
“Chief” a pitt bull terrier has been a trained canine, bringing honor and glory to its owners winning various awards and recognitions in dog shows. His obedient demeanor and behaved character, won him praises.Despite his breed being unfairly categorize by some as wildly fierce, he is known to be a defender of his masters and his loyalty was proven till the end, sadly.
One ordinary day turned into a tragedy when Maria Victoria Fontreras, a homemaker and her 89 year old mother where having their nap in their suburban home one peaceful weekend with Chief resting in the kitchen area after a hearty lunch, suddenly out of nowhere a long deadly black king cobra wickedly slithered its way inside the house through a crack in the wall and headed into the living room area where the lady’s where.
Chief sprang into action without thinking of his own safety sensing danger for his lady masters with an intruder lurking in his territory. The snake was about to attack the unsuspecting women when Chief took cover and battled the evil snake, its venom was too much for Chief but he still struggled to fight it out, immobilized and shocked at the sudden scene Victoria struggled to pull his mother out of harms way.
Chief´s heroism brought collective unity to a city comprising of Christians and Muslims who were touched by his bravery. An award was given to him posthumously at the City Town Hall recognizing his heroic acts for saving human lives.
Indeed Chief is a guardian angel, so are the rest of our lovable pets who bring us cheer and hope for a better world.
